As one half of the largest grandstand on the circuit, Prima Variante A is situated at the end of the pit straight with a view over the famous first chicane, and the exit into Curva Grande.
What can I see?
These seats offer a view of the famous first chicane at Monza. With cars coming out of the first DRS zone of the lap, where cars within one second of another car can activate the DRS, making the car aerodynamically faster than it's rival - you may see cars side by side as they enter the chicane. With the cars bunched up in the tight chicane at the start of the race, it can make the opening laps eventful. Should their be any incidents in the first chicane, this is the prime location to view them.
Please note that Monza is a national park, and that there are areas of forest within the grounds that may be in view from parts of this stand. If you have any queries, please get in touch.
What do I get with my ticket?
Prima Variante 8A is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

We had tickets for stands 8a and 8b - I can't overstate how utterly stupid the decision to set ticket scanning security directly at the stand entrance, so that you had to queue to come back to the stand every time after using toilet, concession stands etc is. This only applies to these two stands, everywhere else on the circuit you scan in once and then take your seat with just a normal steward checking passes - we had metal detectors, police etc every single time. Security in the stands made no effort whatsoever to move the hundreds of people who decided to sit on the stairs instead of their own seats - they just ignored the issue and all access was left blocked throughout the busier sessions. The token system for bars and food is also ridiculous, organised in a way only an idiot could. You have to join the one queue for all tokens... or maybe sometimes you can pay directly, no consistency, except that you definitely can't take a token from one stand to another though, no central token system - so you will always have to queue twice every time!

Arrival at Monza Race course was arranged separately from ticket provider. Upon entering I was surprised that small bottles were permitted to be taken in under the condition that it was without bottle caps - reason not provided by staff at entry. Finding the stand for our seats was a task bordering on impossible. After asking 5 separate stewards for directions while showing them the ticket we spent a total 1.25 hours following instructions/directions only to re-trace our steps many times. Signposting of directions to the different stands was found to be poor with regards to availability or even totally incorrect - eg. Our stand was 8A Esterna and we came across a sign directing us 180° in the wrong direction! Due to poor weather in the morning paths were swamps complete with small lakes. No preventative, protective measures taken to help guests remain safe and clean on the way to the stands. Upon finding the stand the view was tremendous, the atmosphere exactly what we expected, the different races of the day F2, Porsche and F1 were extremely enjoyable. Food & drink available massively overpriced.

I had the privilege to witness a Ferrari pole and win which has been a rarity in recent times at Monza. My seats at 8A were magnificent. Saw plenty of action and great racing. The seats are slightly uncomfortable but the circuit sell cushions for a price of €5. The food system makes NO sense. You pay for your food in one queue and get handed a receipt with order and then some tokens before getting shuffled into another line to then get your food. Backwards logic from the Italians as this created chaos and major delay times. Transport now. The train from Milan central to Monza is great €2 a ticket is very fair. When you arrive in Monza you either get a public bus. A special F1 bus or walk. The lack of organisation on the buses made me walk instead for 45 minutes because it was much faster to do it then queue for that long in a line. Buses very inconsistent and terminate wherever the driver feels like it. The hardest part is getting into the circuit. At my gate which is around campsite they would force people into a narrow but long line to get in to accommodate for cars driving in/out of circuit. The line for people was for the campsite and anybody who wanted to go left towards grandstand 8A had to also queue in a line which wasn’t for them! What utter madness. When you arrived to circuit they would check your ticket first then your bag and then you could get into your grandstand. If you wanted food or to look around you would have to repeat that process every time.. organised chaos would be a fair comment. Just as well Leclerc won and the feeder series produced such fair racing or I would be giving a solid 1/5 Big thanks to Booking F1 for getting me such great seats was a brilliant few days watching the racing everything else is unacceptable from the circuit organisers

The racing weekend, our seats, the other fans, all friendly and superb! The venue needs work. Proper walkways, dry areas for concessions, crowd movement, all can be improved with some minor modifications. Hopefully the new extended agreement with F1 will allow for some investment and additional effort by the organizers.

Monza grandstands are always a bit of a compromise with trees in the way etc. If in doubt, go for the first corner and this was my second time in this grandstand (first time was to see a Damon Hill victory!) and by far the most exciting race I have seen for ages. Book F1 are always my preferred choice if I am making my own travel arrangements. They keep you informed on when the tickets will arrive which reduces stress. Thanks as always...

This was my first time to Monza, here are few areas where the organizers can improve: - The bus that transports people from Monza FS to the circuit is expensive (5EUR), especially that it drops us far from the closest entrance to the circuit. - I had a general admission ticket, not because it's the cheapest, but i had a experience with it last year in Spa where i could roam the circuit without missing the action on track, because you could pass behind tribunes and check the screens. But, at Monza, it felt like screens were placed in a way to disallow anyone who hasn't a tribune ticket to watch the race while enjoying the passing cars, some screens like the one at the first chicane were even placed between trees (seriously ?!), and there were no screens on the backstraight (except ascari and parabolica). There was a lso no screen on the curve leading to the second chicane (at least one is needed there). - There some tribunes had enough space around them for people to see the cars passing, but not even that was allowed for general admission people. I mean, it's a general admission ticket, i agree but the least i expect is actually watching the race. It's not normal that someone like who comes from so far away hasn't the right to watch the race and circuit workers and policemen can access everywhere, something is wrong here. - I expected some high quality F1 merch, but, as much as i like F1, sorry i can't buy a normal shirt with average fabric quality for 50EUR (sorry if i sound harsh). - We could access the circuit after the Race and assist to the podium ceremony, that was the highlight of my weekend, but otherwise, it was uselessly frustrating/tiresome most of the time ... for a major event like this, organizers didn't do a great job and sticked to bare minimum ... - I'd like to thank bookF1 for their excellent support and patience, amazing people really!! 5 stars for them,1star for the organizers. Excellent weekends experience for a Grand Prix novice (watched on TV for years and years but never actualy been.) Thanks to bookf1.com with our 3 day tickets we even managed a pit lane visit on the Thursday and got to see a few of the drivers up close. Booking the tickets was realy simple and hassel free, would reccomend any-one to book via them. Thanks for an unforgetable visit, we had a fabulous time.

Really looking forward to the weekend but getting to Monza from Milan by public transport was far from simple with lots of pushing and shoving on the bus. On arriving at the circuit on a Saturday we had to queue for an hour to get in which was for a token gesture ‘bag search’. The long walk continued before having to show our ticket and another bag search to get in to the fanzone. We then walked to the stand which was poorly sign posted in different directions. The ground was wet, muddy and slippery. No attempt by the organisers to put anything down like wood chip to firm it up. We then had to check out of the circuit to walk further before reaching our stand. Beers were expensive. On getting into the stand we had to have another bag search and it was here things felt really dangerous. The pathetic organisers only letting 20-30 people into the bag search at a time causing a build up of people behind metal railings. The crowd became vocal and some heavy pushing and shoving started. I thought someone would be crushed against the fencing. I felt very, very vulnerable with no means to escape. Having 5,000-6,000 people crowding through 6 gates was a disgrace. The stands are nothing more than metal benches. We found lots of people trying it on sitting in other people’s seats and letting an argument commence before moving. I would note there were no stewards in the stand at all. Toilets were all portaloos and were absolutely disgusting, no paper, mess everywhere and again, no management to refresh them or top up paper etc. Bins were hugely overfilled and again no attempt to manage them. On race day we paid for a taxi and found a better way in. We also got in to the stand 3 hours before the race to avoid the crush. The race was enjoyable with a good view and TV. The music blasting out was complete rubbish as was the MC. A classic race but I will never ever return to this circuit and the organisation which is a disgrace to F1.

I have been to Monza 5 times and every year I wonder whether I will ever go again. I end up doing so because it is one week after Spa and convenient because I am in Europe anyway. But if it was at a less convenient date I doubt I would go. The reason is that they seem to care little for fans. For example: Even a quite expensive stand like prima variants is uncomfortable and uncovered. Every year the stewards seem to come up with new ways of making life more miserable for fans. Queues to get into the stand were ridiculous - only 2 entry points for a very large stand. And to leave were even worse since they forced everyone into one single tight bottleneck and for some reason insisted on beeping everyone out. This was both dangerous and frustrating Despite this seemingly diligent stewarding Monza suffered the same problem it has every year - people without tickets getting into the premium stands. This is annoying for fans who have paid several hundred Euro. It is also uncomfortable because seating becomes squeezed and it is dangerous since aisles are blocked The baggage checks are another frustration. I have taken a small Garmin GPS to Monza every year. This year on race Sunday they decided it was dangerous and that I couldn't take it in. This having specifically said it was ok on the Saturday and previously. They seemed to think I might throw it onto the track even though it is smaller than my mobile phones of which I had two but which they deemed ok. Regulations are needed but they should be published in advance, they should be consistent and sensibly applied Finally Monza is notoriously difficult for viewing because of all the trees. The least they could do is provide a big screen which is fully visible from the entire stand and whose picture does not keep failing I support monza on the calendar because it is iconic but at some point they have to wake up and treat fans like they do at Spa and Silverstone

Pros: The track is located in the centre of a beautiful park. Lovely setting. The stands are really well sign posted. We were at turn 1 (8) and views of the corner are amazing. Plenty of toilets. Cons: transport was expensive and intervals for trains and buses were at times few and far between. We stayed in Milan and it wasn't straight forward and 2hr journey. Stewards were very rude and there was a policy in place whereby you couldnt take drinks with a lid inside with you - this is ridiculous and made the weekend very expensive as you had to buy drinks inside (€5-10 a drink dependent upon stand). Luckily it wasn't too hot but if it had been it would prejudice a lot of families who had tried to minimise costs. Stewards removed the strangest of items from people such as hand sanitiser, yet allowed flares in? Very strange. Overall, a lovely track, fab views and great atmosphere, just a shame about some aspects which could easily be improved.

Nice and interesting race although weather was poor and rainy on Saturday. We were missing better maps and instructions to find the right area and stand easier.

Too difficult, had to show tickets all the time, even when we left the stand where nobody could enter without the ticket. It took too long to get through the control and get to the stand, one had to walk between the iron guard and only one gate was open. I was down to get food and drink that I had to attend the tribunal, it took an hour before I was in my seat again. It could have taken 20 minutes if everything worked out optimally. They screwed the lid of the water bottles. All in all, one would think it was the first time they held this event. Waste of time constantly queuing everywhere. Everything was so unprofessional and bad. The buses were so crowded, also the shuttle buses, again they act like it was first time. The sound at the circuit was VERY bad and the Italian speaker spoke even though the drivers were on the radio, so annoying. No paper on the toilet and no disinfectant liquid or soap and water, so extremely inaccessible toilets.

The Italian Grand Prix this year was a big mix in types of weather. On the Saturday we and everyone else there got absolutely drenched and qualifying had to be red flagged. About half an hour we left it had been restarted however. On the Sunday it was the exact opposite, with a cloudless sky and a hot sun. The race itself was excellent to watch and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. However on Saturday the ground was bottomless and had gravel or something been put in place over the paths, it would have been much better. Also, administration with queues etc. could have been better and more efficient. All in all though, it was a good race and a great experience.

First time at Monza but won't be the last. Having done much research everything was as expected, lots of walking, lots of disorganisation and twenty five minutes queuing for the loo. Wouldn't have missed it though.

Good correspondence from BookF1. However, required a much better map for the whole weekend- the travelling advice was very poor. Signage was poor. Getting around the track was very difficult. The tickets do not represent good value for money. As a fan you don't get to experience very much. The 'Fan Zone' is tacky.

This was my first visit to Monza although I've been to several European races. I requested tickets high in the stand and that was exactly what I got so thanks to all at Book F1. We stayed just outside the town of Monza, not far from one the park and ride areas which worked well. Monza town itself is not particularly tourist friendly, so I would recommend staying somewhere larger. In terms of the track and event, the organisation wasn't great. As I had read beforehand, there is a lot of walking involved so you'll need appropriate footwear! From our stand we could see part of a big TV screen but not the top left so we were lacking some of the position information. The commentary was in Italian and English but was very quiet. Certainly worth a visit but now its ticked off I'm not desperate to return any time soon.

Went to monza with my partner and my father. Knowing parking would be an issue we did pick up a pass that we were advised would be a 5 minute walk. Whilst it was actually a 20 minute walk. The organization at the circuit is poor. Instead of checking people into an area and then letting them into the area where there is food and drink and services they scan you into the actual grandstand itself and scan you out if you wished to get food. It is a crazy way to run an event and doesn't feel like you're there as a fan it feels like you are an inconvenience there. The stands need development, excepting people to sit on construction equipment for 5+ hours is a bit of an issue. The parking you can forgive, however the services inside the circuit really need a lot of investment and modernizing to bring it in line with other events like spa, Barcelona and silver stone.

It was a great weekend for the race day we went. Although there were a few drawbacks. Long queues for trains outgoing and returning, confusing maps and not knowing where to go, long walks to merchandise, food/drinks, no drinks aloud without lid off although this was fine on the way in but not within the circuit, other than that great day out and very enjoyable including getting the chance to go on the track afterwards and by the pit wall. Take food and drink with you unless you are prepared to wait in long queues aswell. Seating is just benches, so take a cushion if needed also long walk from train station to track unless getting a shuttle bus. Allow time for security checks and only portaloos available on site. Overall top day! Worth the visit. We were lucky to have a to opposite are seats for viewing for fans.

Am comparing to last year' Abu Dhabi experience In Abu Dhabi is was a truly fantastic event; entry control, nice seating at the stands, 'eco systems around the stands, ie food/entertainment, ease of access to stands (busses & parking). In Monza this is close to a nighmare. Had to walk for 90 min with my 8 year old son, busses/parking crap, food (Stand 8A) extremely long wating, way too many checks. Overall from that perspective NOT worth the money. In the end the race was fine/exciting but that's about it. Whereas in Abu Dhabi is was equally expensive, at least I felt I got value in return.

My dad and I make an annual trip to the F1 and this year decided on Monza due to its potentially imminent departure from the calendar. The circuit is just outside of Milan and best accessed by Garibaldi Train station. Tickets are cheap at around €4 one way and travel within Milan is only €2.50 for 24hrs. We arrived on the Thursday in time to do the pit walk. We made two mistakes that day. One being getting to Monza station and then walking to the circuit. After a very early flight this took us around 80mins one way. There are buses but we decided to walk to take in Monza, in hindsight this wasn't a great choice as we were shattered. The second mistake was going to e pit walk at all, it was sheer chaos. There was no marshals to keep the crowds moving so invariably there were too many people camped out at each garage to see a thing and secondly once you reached the end of the pit lane e crowd had to come back against the flow which made for a crunching experience. We missed out Friday practices in favour of a bit of sightseeing. On e Saturday we opted to go from garibaldi to Biassono Lesmo station as it is much closer to the north end of the track where we were seated. This turned out to be only a 30 minute walk if you walked around the outside of the circuit as opposed to through it. On the Sunday all trains from Garibaldi go to Monza where for a small fee there is a very efficient bus service to the circuit. However this still entails a 30 minute walk. On our return we went via Lesmo station to beat the masses scrambling for buses and queueing at Monza. This worked a treat. Monza circuit is incredible as you expect. The tifosi are loud and make it a very entertaining experience. Our seats on Prima Variante provided a great view of battles emerging from the pit straight onto the first chicane however we were further back and to the right of the stand than I would've liked as seats lower and to the left would've provided a better view down the straight itself as well as the chicane. However as a precautionary note. On race day it did become a bit of a fee for all in the stands where even though there is allocated seating there seemed to be a lot of people sitting on stair cases. Also around the final ten laps a lot of people were up and heading for the gates to be first on the track once the race was over this in turn led to people amassing on the front of the stand and obstructing the view of anyone in the bottom 5-10 rows and there were no stewards in sight to see to this. There were a good number of food outlets selling food which was typical Faye's of burgers etc but also some nice Italian sandwiches. Heineken was the beer of choice and was odd to purchase. You had to stand and queue to purchase a beer token which was often the same queue as for food and then queue again at the beer stand to present your token. The other facilities wor mentioning are the toilets. These were predominantly all porta-toilets however there were plenty and seemed to be well maintained to no issues there. Overall I would fully recommend Monza but prepare for disappointment at the pit walk and be weary of where you're seated

Um Zugang zur Rennstrecke zu erlangen, muss die Begleitperson allerdings eine Stehplatzkarte kaufen. Es gibt in der Nähe des Vedano 25 auch einen Behindertenparkplatz, der allerdings auch nicht im Voraus gebucht werden kann. Zeigen Sie bei Ihrer Ankunft einfach einen Parkausweis vor, der Sie zum Parken auf Behindertenparkplätzen berechtig.
Nicht jeder Bereich der Rennstrecke ist für Rollstuhlfahrer zugänglich. Wenn Sie am Haupteingang ankommen, haben Sie Zutritt zur Haupttribüne außen an der Strecke (1, 4, 5, 8a, 8b, Main Straight Bleachers, 24, 25, 26a, 26b und 26c). Es gibt außerdem einen Tunnel zum Zentrum der Strecke (6a, 6b, 6c, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 20, 23a, 23b und VIP Bereiche). Am Hintereingang der Rennstrecke bei der Parabolica, haben Sie direkten Zutritt zu den Tribünen (21a, 21b, 21c, 21d, 21e and 22). Das Zentrum kann bei diesem Eingang nur über eine Fußgängerbrücke erreicht werden. Am Nordeingang (Biassano Lesmo) haben Sie Zugang zu allen zentral gelegenen Tribünen und allen Tribünen am Haupteingang.
Für Freitags-Tribünentickets und Stehplatzkarten gilt freie Platzwahl. Ausgenommen ist die Tribüne ‚Centrale: Hier sind die Sitzplätze reserviert und Ticketinhaber haben während des Rennwochenendes keinen Zugang zu anderen Tribünen.
Folgende Tribünen sind mit Sitzbänken anstatt mit einzelnen Sitzplätzen ausgestattet:
Auf Tribüne 8 liegt der Bereich 8a höher als 8b. Bei Tribüne 23 liegt 23b näher an der Boxeneinfahrt als 23a.
