Overall an Expensive Weekend. I live in the UK but was on vacation for 8-weeks visiting family in Sydney. I took my 2-Grandson's that live in Australia, 13yrs & 10yrs to their 1st F1 GP. We flew Sydney to Melbourne on the Friday returning Sunday night. Apartment for 2-nights. 4-Day Passes for the Ricciardo Premium Grandstand. The items I have listed below area's I saw that could be improved upon. 1) Only saw 1-person selling Australian F1 programmes the whole weekend. That was 1-person selling programmes on the Saturday at Gate 2 @ 09.45. Had two ask on the Friday at one of the Merchandising Stalls. They were down their last 3. Lots of areas around the circuit visited with no obvious locations from where to purchase. 2) Only 10-minutes each day from Gates Opening to 1st Scheduled Event. Poor for Die Hards that want to make the most of their time at the event. 3) Area providing food at the rear of the Ricciardo Premium Grandstand was poor. Insufficient vendors with room for at least 1-other outlet. The 'Chicken Burger' van did not sell Chicken Burgers. Enough said on that front. I have 2-other F1 GP's that I am attending this year. Spain & Belgium. I attended the 2018 British F1 GP and also work out of Silverstone, UK as a Porsche Driving Consultant. Overall we all had an enjoyable 2.5-days at Melbourne and the personel working there were very friendly.

Everything was top notch. The tickets were delivered to my home in plenty of time for our trip to New Zealand and Australia. You even responded quickly to my email regarding daily activities after I arrived at the track. The only thing I might ask is: is there anything you can do to teach the Haas team how to change a tyre?

Race day worth the wait although a great location recardo stand I thought the heavy mesh fencing was a bit restricted in the front row higher would have been better. All in all a experience.

Just come back from Australia and went to the Melbourne Grand Prix. We picked the seats in the Ricardo Stand, even though we are Hamilton supporters. (Some stands were sold out when we decided to book tickets for this race) It was not a bad location. It was a fun day , with music being played in the Heineken Entertainment area. It was a great Family day, with many locals bringing there Families and watching from the grassed areas. We stayed in the Bay View Hotel. This Hotel is not the best, but it is OK, It was in a great location to get into Albert Park, you just had to to go over a bridge that took you into Albert Park. My stand was about a 15min walk, when in the Park, but the Heiekin Entertainment area was inbetween this.

not enough sign posts around city. seats are like sardine cans everybody said same. food lines to long. will not go again.

Our seats were very good. I am not a petrol head however I found the whole event very exciting. The walk through pit lane was a real highlight. The food outlet in the members enclosure was too slow

Very enjoyable - the stand we were in was great with good amenities. One suggestion - we came in through Gate 3 and had seats in the Riccardo stand - I was with my 85 yo old father in law - the sign indicated we could go wither way but one way as much longer than the other - the signs should indicate the shortest route.

I had a problem finding my stand I ask a Indian Gentleman that does the traffic control near the M lane food area and he was quite rude and didn't want to help me he just palmed me away with I don't know where it is and made no attempt to help me

World Champion Grandstand was to far away from main activities area e.g. GP Advantage Members for us. Now we are familiar with venue we will book other stands in future as we found the GP Members area excellent. Very few personnel actually knew where World Champion Stand was. Exiting from the Venue on Sunday afternoon was a debacle and it seemed to us that once the race was over, the venue staff all stopped working and the public was left to their own devices to exit the venue. Even the police presence was lacking and there were several altercations as people pushed and shoved to exit the venue onto Canterbury Road. This experience detracted from what had been an excellent 4 days up to that point. In terms of us attending again, which we will, we would like to be able to select the actual seats we want. Obviously a first in first served basis but to be able to select seating in a particular spot in a particular stand would assist.

The organisation of the whole weekend was outstanding. The trams ran well and every thought was given to ensuring that fans were able to get to and from the race track quickly and efficiently. The circuit was amazing and I was particularly pleased that there was a dedicated outside sitting area just for ticket holders of that grandstand - with the added bonus of excellent catering and refreshments plus bathroom facilities. There was excellent viewing from the grandstand which combined with the big screen just opposite ensured we didn't miss any of the action.

Thursday was the worst because we had to line up and waste the whole day for autographs in previous years it was on earlier and had a day to view the events am disappointed but what can be done nothing I guess
21 März 2016
Overall viewing at this track is only average ... Unlike other tracks, you can really only see a small section of the track i.e. No ability to look down on the track. Food was pretty average. Grandstand ok but still got wet and sun even though it was 'under cover'. I think purpose built tracks are much better.

Just returned home after a long trip downunder which included a week in Melbourne to take in the Australian GP.To be honest everything bar the race itself was first class.Access/ Egress by train / tram to and from Melbourne centre could not be faulted. The whole Albert park environment was great with lots of space that housed various support events and entertainments.Facilities adjacent to the World Champion Stand were comprehensive...toilets remained clean and fully operational throughout the weekend!.access to the GP Advantage bar was a real bonus.there were many highlights off track in particular the three fly overs particularly the RAAF F/A18 jet....!So what about the race....Ok Lewis won ....as a Scot/Brit brilliant....Jenson got the McLaren home....great...!Kimi parked up across from us,nice photos....albeit through the wire mesh....!But come on Bernie...not a lot of excitement otherwise.....Hey Ho.....Off to Budapest next....!

Our visit to the Australian Grand Prix was a major element of a substantial trip Down Under..We weren't disappointed. The setting was magnificent. The race was disappointing although Lewis won and Jenson did a great job getting the McLaren home even if last.Bernie needs to work hard to ensure he gets as full and as competitive as possible grid for future races.Travel to and from the circuit could not have been easier and any more efficient.Toilet facilities, bars, food outlets were plentiful and easily accessible .The Aerial show was brilliant....theAussie RedArrows,The Raaf F18 Fly past was beyond description fantastic. To Conclude with the Quantas fly over terrific.

Interesting 4 days, plenty of entertainment other than the racing, would have liked the main race to be more competitive. Good fun.

Great run event and staff did a great job
16 März 2015
Great wekend and all round good level of enterntainment. Dont think stand locations are the best, for our whole group, we preferred places with either more speed or more action and only sat for extended times in the actual stand for the F1 race due to crowds elsewhere. For example, turn 6 and alongside gate 9 are both much better views with much better chance of action/ view of the speed etc. I wouldn't buy in this stand again - all else was very good though.

Great four days Plenty of entertainment Melbourne public transport was excellent (trams) the race ended at 6.00 and we were back at our motel in Elizabeth street in 30 minutes
